Privacy Policy

The short version. We collect what we need to design, site, price and deliver your build: your account details, your property address, your designs and your orders. We share it only with the companies that make that happen (the partner whose site you use, fabricators, and the services we run on), never sell it, and you can ask us to see or delete it.
1. Who we are
Ekstra operates this service at ekstrabuild.com and on partner websites that use it under their own names. Ekstra is responsible for your information described here. Contact: support@ekstrabuild.com.
2. What we collect
- Account: name, email, phone number, password (stored by our authentication provider in hashed form).
- Your property: the address you give us, and the lot information we look up for it (parcel lines, existing buildings, roads).
- Designs and orders: the designs you save, prices quoted, reservations, plan-change requests, messages with our team or a partner's team, and documents and photos about your build.
- Payments: handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation and the last details needed for receipts, not your full card number.
- Technical: basic logs (pages requested, time, browser) that our hosting provider keeps to run and secure the service, and data stored in your browser to keep you signed in and remember your design in progress.
3. How we use it
- To provide the service: saving designs, building your site plan, getting prices, taking reservations and keeping your dashboard current.
- To communicate with you: receipts, updates on your build, answers to your messages, and, if you opt in, occasional news.
- To run and improve the service, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
- The partner whose site you use. If you signed up on a partner site, that partner's team can see your account, property, designs, orders and messages so they can work with you on your build.
- Fabricators and builders involved in pricing or building your structure, for that purpose.
- Service providers that run parts of the service for us under contract: hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), email (Resend), payments (Stripe) and steel-frame pricing and fabrication (Gage).
- Public data services. To find your lot, we send your address or its map location to address-lookup and public GIS services (for example county and state GIS, the U.S. Census Bureau, OpenStreetMap-based services and FEMA building data). These requests do not include your name.
- Where the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open and for as long afterwards as we need it for your build, warranty, tax and legal records. You can ask us to delete your account; we will delete or anonymize what we are not required to keep.
6. Your choices and rights
You can see and correct most of your information in your dashboard. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing support@ekstrabuild.com. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights, including to know what we collect and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights; we honor them. We will verify requests before acting on them.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls that limit each person (including partner teams) to the records they need, and reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you think your account is at risk.
8. Children
The service is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in the service before it takes effect.
